Default AI and \"War\" vs. \"Treaty\"

I'm playing a game of Stock SEIV to brush up on my skills and strategies before I dive back into PBW.

Does anyone know if it's ever possible to call off a war with an AI empire? I'm not MEE status yet, I have a Partnership with one other Empire, and these guys at war with me are listed as "Brotherly" or "Warm" from turn to turn. All attempts at going to treaty or at least non-agression are turned away. I'd like them to stop sweeping my minefields so I can concentrate on eliminating these damn Xi-Chung dreadnoughts.

Thx,
TT

Default Re: AI and \"War\" vs. \"Treaty\"

I think the typical AI has a minimum 50-turns after declaring war before they will consider a treaty.

Prevents the Civilization/Great Wall type exploits where you declare war for a turn, take some territory, then peace up again while you rebuild your army.
