Default AI Dragon

I push Mictland back to his castle in a running charge. When I storm his castle it brings out his Dragon pretender to play. He eats my troops. I loose all but 4 giants and 30 archers in back to back fights.

In a stupid decision I stand with these scraps behind a 10 pd. The dragon comes in with 40 wolf warriors. A lost cause. The dragon instead of charging in to my death, as he did in the last 2 fights, casts Fire flies twice then charges with a 49 fat. In two fights all I did was stain his scales with my blood, but now everybody hits. He dies so quick I replay it in shock.

If I had waited 4 turns on his research I could have taken his castle with minor loses.

Can we get a scrip change?

For him to cast those spells was criminal. He did not even hit anyone. Dragons should not cast petty spells that don't even do much damage. They are killing machine. Scrip them that way.

With a amulet of Resilience or luck he would have been much worse. Limit the shmucks choices. See to it he get the prime
items he needs. I know you have better things to fix in your minds. But, How long would it take to change Dragon ways?

I almost had the fight I feared out of the AI. Then he woosed out.

I think it's a general problem with big monsters or other SCs used by the AIs.

Making the World of Geometry map I was forced to remove the magic skills of the big monsters of my encounters to have the AI use them as fighters. Any creature with magic prefers to fatigue itself with spell casting (and often use evocation instead of the good buff spells...).

True... this is why I usually equip big monsters (by the AI or Independent) with one or two items of rejuvenate.
