Global (Maelstrom) disappearing
There's a weird bug in one game I'm currently playing. One of the Globals, namely Maelstrom, suddenly vanished for no reason. Caster is alive and well, and the spell's owner claims that he didnt get any 'your enchantment was dispelled' messages. At least I know I didnt dispel it because I was gonna do it next turn...
Are there any conditions why a Global can 'break' by itself? Maybe Maelstrom caster should stay underwater, etc. etc.

Re: Global (Maelstrom) disappearing
There can only be 5 globals at once. Are you sure someone else didn't cast another global that turn?

Re: Global (Maelstrom) disappearing
There were just 4 globals active last turn. Now there are 3.

Re: Global (Maelstrom) disappearing
I had the same in one of my games. One of my global was removed but I don't remember seeing a message from it. It was in a MP game, so I should have the proof if I dare downloading 15+ turns to look for it...
I assumed that someone dispelled it and that there was no message though so I don't really remember when it disappeared.

Could your mage have died?

Re: Global (Maelstrom) disappearing
In my case ? no. In that particular game I happened to be at peace when I casted the spell and when it disappeared.

Re: Global (Maelstrom) disappearing
Now that I think of it, what I might have done is remove the nature booster I used to cast the spell. I'm at work and can't confirm this, but a simple test would. If no one does it before tonight (france time), I'll test this.

Removing a booster doesn't cancel the global.

Re: Global (Maelstrom) disappearing
What patch are you playing? I remember that removing boosters removed dragon master in earlier patches.
