Map: Modified Lonely Mermaid map for MP games.

Hi all.

DireAussie was kind enough to modify the tga file for his Lonely Mermaid map for me, so it would be more suitable for MP games. I have created the matching .map file for it, using the altered map image itself (and not necessarily the original Lonely Mermaid game map) as my example.

I have also set up 8 fixed starting locations, 7 land + 1 sea. Each starting land province was selected with the following conditions: all have 4 or 5 neighbours; all are 4 or 5 provinces away from other starting provinces; and all (except one) have at least one farm neighbour and one forest/border/mountain neighbour. The starting sea location has 3 neighbours (all are sea), and is 3 provinces away from 3 starting land provinces.

It's yours to use and play with as you wish. DireAussie, feel free to put it up on your site if you'd like as well.

The Lonely Mermaid map is one of my favourites for MP--but it has too many ocean provinces. Unfortunately, I have the artistic ability of a rock, and don't know how to alter the .tga file. Would someone be willing and able to take the .tga and make it so it has only 12-15 provinces? Then I could use it to create multiplayer games on smaller maps.
