Default Summonable Blood Mages?

What are the generic blood mage summons that any nation can use to branch out into blood magic with? And what other magic do they come with?

Was thinking of fooling around with them a little bit in a single player roleplaying game.

Lamia queens Ether Gate and Tartarians all have a chance of a blood pick. Although not guarentee.

IIRC Treelords do too. Also Vampire Counts.

In my opinion, the best way of branching into Blood magic is either Tartarians (if you have a lot of research done) or indy scouts bootstrapping to Vampire Counts (you have to plan many turns ahead but it doesn't cost that much).

I think he means generic mages that don't require blood to summon.

I think you mean Vampire Lords? Counts are(La?) Ulm only, right?

I can't remember how much they cost, but they're not much if at all cheaper than empowering, though you do get B2.

You can start blood with Lamia Queens or Tartarians, but they're awfully expensive to use as blood hunters. Especially now that Tartarians have Shattered Soul. And they're late game.

Starting with indy scouts and empowering takes awhile to get going, but other than the gold cost of the scouts doesn't really cut into your other strategies much.

Doable but extremely hard.

Vampires (curse of blood) is B3D4 and 77 slaves to cast, blood 7 research as well.

So your talking alot of research, 200+ blood slaves for empowerment and curse of blood.

Its a strategy you would after start early game and hope it pays off in the very end game. Most of the time probably not worthwhile.

Still once you have 1 vampire lord you could quickly get many vampire lords.

All the ways of trying to get into blood if your a non-blood nation are very, very hard and the majority of time will not pay off.

Yes, Vampire Lords. I stand corrected. Obviously I don't use them much. They're 77 slaves and they have a dowsing bonus, so they're barely cheaper than empowering (by 3 slaves). Of course you won't spend 200+ blood slaves to empower to B3, you'll just empower to B1 and use a Ring of Sorcery + Wizardry. You're probably right that this isn't any easier than using Tartarians. Lately I've been bootstrapping up to Bloodstones but I still don't use Blood magic per se, and I feel a little bit guilty about the Bloodstones every time Bogus and his chums free the old man's daughter.
