2 Spells
I looked thru the Grimoire and couldn't find the specific spell I was looking for...
1. Say my Prophet of Pretender has BAD afflictionsand I have no mage/priest (like Arco's Priestess) to remove them, what spell should I use?
I looked at Heal but it was pretty ambigious, so is there a spell to cure those?
2. My Pretender was Killed in enemy lands, I KNOW there is a spell to bring him back but I looked and looked in the Grimiore and must have missed it.
Could anyone help me PLEASE, I am soooooooo tired of rereading that 300 page manual over and over and over (sigh)

Re: 2 Spells
1. There is no spell for curing afflictions. Some troops, such as Arco priestesses, have the Heal ability, which lets them take an action to try and heal afflictions in the province they are in. The only other options are The Chalice artifact, and the Gift of Heaven global enchantment (Nature 5 or 6 I think), which can cure afflictions within your dominion.
2. To recall a god use priest units, they have an action named Call God. You have to accumulate 50 call god points, where each priest level gives 1 point. So if you were using a H3 priest and an H2 priest, they'd generate 5 points per turn and need 10 turns.

Re: 2 Spells
Try the FAQ in addition to the manual - it is pretty helpful and IIRC has a section that would have answered your question and saved you some time.

Re: 2 Spells
There is also a summonable healer. At Conjuration 8 the spell Faerie Court becomes available, which summons an A3N3 Faerie Queen who also posesses the Heal ability. She's about 1/3 as effective as an Arco Priestess, IIRC.
And of course you can Wish for healers. I nearly forgot.

I would go for Mother of Serpents, the Pretender with healing abitity value of 100.
But wishing for a healer is expensive. Alchemizing the pearls for nature gems and casting Gift of Health seems a better idea.
But thinking of it again, if you can cast wish would you care of some wounded commanders?

Re: 2 Spells
There is a very detailed section on healing afflictions in the FAQ precisely because it was once upon a time asked so often. I haven't seen these threads crop up for a long time now. I wish more people read the FAQ before posting questions on the forum, because most of the common ones have been answered and there are also hints and tips on where to find more info in there.

True that Seraphs and lots of gems can solve a lot of your problems , but sometimes you grow so fond of your heroes and pretender you just don't want to let them crippled and feebleminded
