Not all sounds after 4,00 patch

After installing game and 2,00 patch everything was ok. Then I added other patchess to version 4,00 and I have only infrantry and button sounds.
WIndows XP
2 sound cards - both checked and ok

The problem is at your end otherwise everyone would be having a problem. All I can suggest is to start with a fresh installation of V1 then patch , in order of release, all the other patches again. That's usually the only way to get things straight when a problem like this arrises

It almost sounds like you may have patched one of them to the wrong folder or there is a problem with the sound.ini.

Look in the WinSPMBT\Game Data\Sounds folder
You should have both MP3 and WAV format sounds
The "sounds.ini" should be pointing at the WAV format sounds.

Is it ?

For some reason almost all sounds vere in mp3 format. I changed them with goldwave following instructions from file in wave folder. And everything is fine

What bothers me about all this is the sounds were switched over in ver 3.5

Note this from the Game Guides "Release History" section

9) A full set of WAV sound files have been included and a new sounds.ini has been set up to read them. We found far too many people were still having trouble with the MP3 sound files so the decision was made to include a WAV set with this upgrade. The MP3 files that were included with the original game will still be in your WinSPMBT\Game Data\Sounds folder and can still be accessed by setting up the "MP3Sounds.ini" file also included with this patch as the default "Sounds.ini"

All the .WAV format sounds AND a new sounds.INI to run them were included with V3.5 so it looks like you skipped this patch and if you did you'll need to re-install it and then V4 again otherwise the game will not be correctly up to date

There is no other explanation for why the WAV's were missing and therefore so will a lot of other things included with V3.5
