Fallout Win7 Support

Under Windows7, the color patterns in game will be messed up and also the command response will be super long.

Could this problem be solved in next patch?

I suppose you did not actually read the windows 7 thread that is a sticky, right at the top of this forum, since you did not simply append this as a post to the existing thread?. You know, the one where the 256 colour palette problem and its solution is discussed?.

As to your delay problems, this is already covered in the sticky threads, with regards to the early problems with the MP3 sound files. The WAV file format was introduced in later patches to address the problems end users had with Windows MP3 sound drivers. So I'll presume that you are playing an unpatched version of the game. If so, please apply all game patches in the correct order. NB, as discussed in the Vista sections - since W7 is simply vista SP3 - Vista can squirrel your patch files, game save files etc away in strange and unexpected places. Find out if your Vista installation does this.

You make no mention of having tried the various Game Options Misc tab delay settings. So presumably you have not read the Game Guide "Game Installation" section on the "Misc" tab?. Try experimenting with these, if the sound problem resolution does not help.

However, since we the developers have not got Vista/W7 machines, those are still unsupported operating systems. Therefore the only help for them is what is posted on here in the various vista sticky postings. (Remember to read both the WW2 and MBT fora stickys on the O/S). Plus your own reading of the Microsoft Vista/W7 documentation and help files for these WRT running XP games in whatever compatibility mode they have, and dealing with their administrator/user mode and so forth.

Plenty of folk are running the game under Vista/W7 just fine. Even if we ourselves cannot "officially" support it due to not having it ourselves.
