Attacks

I have been learnin ghte game slowly. One thing still puzzles me. Making attacks in turn-based or simultaneous. In turn based, my units never engage (either planets or ships. In simultaneous, there doesnt seem to be any tactical combat or control. You move in the same space and bam your done.

Am I missing something here?

You right there is no control over combat in simultanious, you just have to create good strategies and hope for the best.

You do realize that 1: You cannot attack allies and 2: In turn based you are asked if you want to attack before you attack and 3: You must be decloaked to attack. If it isn't one of those threo I don't know what it is.
