And that is a problem for Vista or Windows Seven-Of-Nine users.
An XP or earlier user could simply drag the /WinSPXX/ folder to a new home under say c:\AAA\games\WinSPXX and then update any paths in the shortcuts.
(AAA is a good folder name since it puts your old software at the top of the list in Windows Explorer's hierarchy).
But doing that under Vista or Seven, you cannot guarantee that the various files that they have shot-gunned all over the hard disk will be in the WinSPXX folder. They will not be transferred by a simple move under Windows Explorer.
So - Uninstall (hopefully they have not broken uninstallers too!) and then reinstall under a folder outside the managed files hierarchy.
[This applies to any pre-vista software that did not work under vista or Seven. I had to do this for the Borland Builder C++ development system for example. Windows Seven would not let it write its own temporary files to its own folder structure, and that confused Builder no end at all!. Reinstalling to its own folder under C:\ and it all works fine).]
