Campaign Hack ????
Is this user game specific ?? I tried doing the SPWWII dos campaigns , but it did not do anything for me. So, will this require me to dig out my old SPMBT cd to utilize this function?
[Form]
CampaignsConvertSourceDir=G:\Steel Panthers World At War\Campaigns\
CampaignsRenumberSourceDir=C:\WinSPMBT\Campaigns\

Re: Campaign Hack ????
Read ye the olde Manual
"This utility does NOT have any way of telling if campaigns are in DOS or Windows format, so always ensure that ONLY DOS SPMBT campaigns are in the target folder."
SPWWII is en entirely different game (code wise) from SPMBT.
Take a look in the "WinSPWW2" portion of the forum here for info about converting SPWWII to WinSPWW2.

Re: Campaign Hack ????
Campaignhack was produced way back in the DOS/Windows switch over days, for converting SPCamo USER campaigns.
It's quite likely to be completely out of date since the file format has probably changed in 5+ years. Any required conversion should have been done back then, frankly. It might work, but might not - suck it and see is all I can say. MSDOS is long gone and unsupported.
It is also no use whatsoever for the SSI campaign disks, as those used a proprietary data structure all of their very own that used hooks in the code, not implemented by us - in fact removed as superfluous.

Re: Campaign Hack ????
Personally I have a copy of "SP World at War Generals Edition" just so I can play the Mega Campaigns.
I never have finished "The Desert Fox".

Re: Campaign Hack ????
As Andy said it's main purpose was to convert the DOS based campaigns to WIN format. Whether it still does that or not is unknown.
It's MAIN purpose now is to allow scenarios to be extracted from campaigns. In my case I have a full set of campaign scenarios in my development game so I can check and correct any problems that might arise from updating the OOBs. If the scenarios are corrected then the campaign is recompiled and a new campaign file is generated and issued along with the corrected scenario.
