Don't Pass up Greenshot - (Screenshot Prog)
For those of you that are into Screenshots for Forums in game Shots and general overall computing needs.
There is a screen shot program you may have heard of it is called:
GREENSHOT - just google it. The program is FREE AND OPENSOURCE.
I just press my print screen key and then click and drag to get exactly what I want AND THEN I can instantly click on a button to do many things including copying the screenshot to the clipboard so I can past it into MS Word etc. or I can save the image to file etc. I can also print it email it copy it cut it delete it etc.
You can also under properties tell screenshot where you want to save all of your screenshots to in file format such as oh I don't know C:\my screnshots ....
then upload stuff to PHOTOBUCKET .. that is another post this enables you to copy the URL's so you can post stuff.

In Windowed Mode, simply press ALT+PRINT SCREEN.
The current window is now in your Windows paste buffer.
Open graphics editor of choice and paste the picture in. Save it as whatever you want and your graphics programme allows.
(Your programme may be of interest, if it snaps full-screen mode games though.)

Re: Don't Pass up Greenshot - (Screenshot Prog)
Darn it I can't do Alt + PrintScreen cause Greenshot takes over I must have it set up that way need to disable it cause I want to try what you are talking about - Greenshot does not usually snap full-screen mode it does though do things with Steel Panthers in windows mode.
FRAPS does full screen like playing a basic windows shooter game etc.
Fraps is: http://www.fraps.com/ it is free the free version does also screenshots the free version does also video but only for a few seconds but it is a good free program to do "snaps of full screen mode" you can specify where you send them to also like D:\fraps_screenshots

Re: Don't Pass up Greenshot - (Screenshot Prog)
Alt+PRINTSCREEN is windows 101. (PRINTSCREEN on its own saves the entire desktop snapshot, with ALT it only takes the active window).
Another benefit of Windowed mode over full-screen.
(Some of these screen grabbers do have a useful feature, I recall one that saved off each snap to a different numbered file name, so you could push the button on e.g a plane's strike pass, and later extract the "right" shot from the multiple saves, say just as it fired)

Ifran View is a free image viewer & limited editor with fully configurable screen capture capabilities.
Screen shot provided
Also has the advantage of being able to stitch the screenshots together as a panorama if you want to so you can capture the whole map with a bit of editing.
