Filtering target types
I have not found this in the manual but can you specify target types for a unit? That is can I globally set my tanks not to fire infantry units but fire at armor units at a given range? For some reason my tankers think they are in danger from rifles at over 1000 meters and use up their shots when enemy tanks are also in range.

Re: Filtering target types
Op-fire filters do that.
See the Game Guide->CD Extended Features, scroll down to OP Fire Filtering.

Re: Filtering target types
Thanks. I haven't looked at all the upgrades available on the CD version. This one may be enough to get me off my cheap *** and buy it!

Re: Filtering target types
If you play the game at all frequently you will kick yourself for not purchasing it earlier once you buy it.
You can play the game faster due to a combination of things, mainly better graphics & the formation ID letting you keep track of your units far easier.
Op filter makes setting up ambushes much simpler & more effective.
Extra features on the map editor are great if you ever make maps.
etc etc
Like many things the extras don't sound anything special ,put them all together though & you will be surprised how big an impact it has on your gaming experience.

Maybe next paycheck I will be able to get it. I never paid much attention to the extra features as most seemed to be geared towards making scenarios or maps which I don't get into. But looking closer some do look worth it.
