Greece OOB
Greece just received the first 6 of about 40 (for now) Marder 1A3 from Germany.
Part of an exchange of giving equal number of BMP-1 to Ukraine.
Article (in Greek) and photos of them in Greece in the following URL. (major Greek newspaper/site)
https://www.protothema.gr/greece/art...is-marder-1a3/
According to the info they are going to supplement the MBT in the Greecce-Turkey border in Thrace. Mechanized infantry duties.
I don't know if the paint job is the final one or not.

Yes, it talks about why Russia failed so far in Ukraine. Or how in particular the "red army" collapsed in 8 months. I am sorry, was there a question about it?

Re: Greece OOB
Articles I have been saying the exchange will happen during the exchange for the Marder A3. Greece is indicating they want those Marder's integrated into their units alongside their LEOPARDS.
You'll note I've been tracking this since May/June.
https://www.armyrecognition.com/defe.../1a5_ifvs.html
https://www.armyrecognition.com/defe...in_greece.html
This will be a 40 for 40 swap in 3-way deal.
Also, the pictures in ref. 2 clearly show the Milan ATGW launchers have been removed from the now Greek Marder's.
Also, more on bottom on the Greek BMP-1A1 with a picture of one that looks more like an American made Browning .50 Cal MG mounted on it.
See the German Marder pictured in ref. 1 w/Milan installed.
Regards,
Pat
