digging entrenchments in game
Is there a command for digging entrenchments during a battle (not during deployment)?

Re: digging entrenchments in game
No, because you simply haven't got sufficient time to dig an entrenchment in an SP battle.

Re: digging entrenchments in game
I don't recall offhand exactly how long an SP turn is (1-5 min I think).
But FAR to short to dig even a simple foxhole.
Troops do "take cover" if they don't move (or move only 1 hex) during a turn.
If they move more then 1 hex they still get whatever inherent cover the terrain they're in provides but no "bonus" cover because they're moving not seeking cover.

That's what I like about SP games, the rules ain't very "gamey", their mostly based on battlefield common sense and physics. A lot of thought goes into computer capabilities, scenario creation, OOB authenticity, and battlefield realism.

Totally agree. This has long been by far my favorite wargame.
