Player moods - in Multiplayer
I'm in my first multi-player game via PBW, and I notice that although I'm an ally (Trade & Research) with one of the players, it lists his mood toward me as "Displeased"....
How does one set/change your mood towards other players? Or is this something that can basically be ignored in multiplayer?

Re: Player moods - in Multiplayer
The mood is still based on the same anger file that the AI would use, so the player might be just happy with his treaty, but because you have a few ships in his space or rejecting a trade, the mood might be "displeased" etc.

Like the Captain said, that's how the AI would feel towards you. The player has no control over that display.
However, what have you done to make your opponent happy, pretending they were an AI? 1000 minerals to celebrate your newest planet being founded, a minor tech trade, a starmap detailing the location of a huge planet with their breathable atmosphere? A starmap warning them of a blackhole system? (I sent everyone one of those, just trying to make the galaxy safe for everyone)
What's that? None of the above? They should just be glad not to meet any Polaron Beam Light Cruisers with Talismans, you say?
Well, maybe they are grateful, look here comes a squad of celebratory planet killer drones. Hmm ... they don't seem to be slowing down.

Re: Player moods - in Multiplayer
As long as the players retain complete control and never miss any turns, you will see that all the other empires stay at "Moderate" towards you. If you see Displeased, or Brotherly, or anything but moderate then that player either missed a turn somewhere along the way, or their turn got messed up somehow and the AI played for them. Once that changes they can't change it back. But as long as they don't miss any more turns it has no effect on the game. If they are Murderous towards you and the player misses another turn though they might decide to declare war on you.
