Installation error
I'm preparing for the Christmas by trying to install SE4 on my portable computer (An old p90 with floppy installed Win95) so that I can play my turns when I'm away (1000 km to mother and father).
But when I try to start the game I get the error:
Application Error
Exception EsockError in module SE$.EXE at 00061AF6
Initialization of windows socket failed.
I've lookead at MM site but the solution:
"DIAL_UP NETWORKING check box location:
1. ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS
2. TAB: Windows Setup
3. Highlight COMMUNICATIONS selection
a. Choose description
4. Dail-up Networking check box is here."
Doesn't work as I have no checkbox for Dial up connection.
(I don't have a modem, will download on other computers and transfer the game file with diskette).
Is there some solution to this?

Re: Installation error
try going to control panel -> network properties -> add adapter -> dialup.
I might be wrong because it is a long time since Win95

Re: Installation error
Try adding TCP/IP. Assuming you have a network neighborhood icon, right click it hit properties, press add, find the TCP/IP listing under Protocols.

Had that the first time when I installed it (had tried a network card before).
Now I have uninstalled that, will try it again later.
