Tech Question

Lets say I am working on ship construction, and will finish it this turn with 15 thou left over points. Lets say for some reason I dont have DUCs yet, but I want to go through all the levels. Is there any way to get the game to repeat DUCs, without repeating ship contsruction, and without wasting the 10 thou that will be left after I get ship construction and level 1 dUCs?
