Access Violation
Playing AIC MOD (don't know if this has anything to do this with) but when I go to play ship movement log for all ships I get and access violation error. Has anyone seen this? I will post the actual error the next time it happens.
Seems I get a different address in SE4.exe each time but it happens every time I hit play log for all ships.

Re: Access Violation
Odd, I just ran my log as always with no problems, Herc.
First I heard of this for AIC.
I most have 1 billion hours loged into AIC, and I have never had an Access Violation.
Maybe there is something in the (FAQ) about this?
What type of PC System do you have and what is the System Memory?
You may also try going to desk top, or even a reboot the reload the game and retry.
Close some other programs, Internet Explorer, Virus Checker etc. this may free up some Memory

Re: Access Violation
It makes SE4 weird so I have to shut down SE4 and re-start it to get everything back to normal. I am running it on XP pro with 1G memory. The error is it expects something at a certain memory location but it is reading something else. so I get a:
access violation at address 004030A0 in module 'SE4.exe'. Read of address 0093008E.
The address location and what it reads differs each time.

Re: Access Violation
Just now, I duplicated this error only by Minimizing and then Maximizing the se4 window as the Log is Processing when playing AIC or Original se4 (TDM) and Proportions in Simultaneous mode.
With many other programs running on the background.
But, other then the message, the Log kept on going
---
After your messege, what happend. herk? Did it keep playing the Log ok?

Re: Access Violation
It doesn't play the log. I get the error and then nothing. I will try re-booting the machine and running the log.

Re: Access Violation
HercMighty, this may shed some light
This bug has been around for awhile in se4 for the Movement Log.
It only happens for me when I minimized and then back to MAX. Other then the messege, every thing to runs fine, for me. {end turn}
Here are a few links from the Players on their past experiences with this se4 oddity.

For the heck of it I rebooted, no browser, no Virus protection and no Intel Point and what ever background stuff I could close.
For the Life of me I could not duplicate this error message, Hmmm
Do you have the Music option on?
Do you have the CD in?
Are you using the Mod Launcher?
Your system is not a 2000?

Re: Access Violation
Thanks for your help. Took out CD, was browsing the extra's folder earlier. I also had moved my screen resolution up. I normally have it at 1600x1200 but had it set to 1024x768. Don't know if that had anything to do with it. All I know is the log works correctly now. Thanks.
