It is done through the AI design file, the AI seems to ignore the one per ship limit.
If you copy the design of the spaceyard ship from the AI in question and put it in the design file of your race...

I think, but am not totally sure, that you have to be able to trace through WP from one of your planets to one of their planets even if the systems in between are unexplored.

There are 7 possible ruins chances listed in the StellarAbilities file. Each has a 5% chance of occurring on a "standard planet", not exactly sure what that means. Seems odd you would not have found...

You're right there, all my experiance is with single player/hotseat.
If you can't find a solution maybe you can give them to an ally (or enemy) if you promise to sweep them. Then you could backstab...

I think it only effects the cultural modifier. I've never seen any complaints that the characteristic modifiers don't work. I hope they do!

Two shipyard components is not suppose to happen but the AI can do it, something to do with the ship design file. They get the benefit of both yards for construction so they can crank out the stuff!

I don't know about the Navy buy when I was working on commercial merchant ships the biggest expense was fuel.

I noticed, when playing a neutral recently, that the computer would automatically launch sat's as they were built. Wonder why it won't launch fighters?

Yes, I think you have it right. The Computer Virus is suppose to be the counter for the Master Computer which is the counter for the Allegience Subverter.

You should be able to detonate mines anywhere. I forget which window you go to but I do it all the time with mine on WP in the rear area.

Yep you need .emp files. If they didn't come with them you can do the following:

In the launch window isn't there a tab for setting the number deployed. I know there are tabs for transfer.
