Problems with Fyron\'s Quadrant mod....
I've just installed Fyrons Quadrant Deluxe Mod and have run into a couple issues with some missing .bmp files. It appears that they're planet .bmps. I installed the full Version and am using the mod launcher.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Problems with Fyron\'s Quadrant mod....
IIRC, FQM also requires the Image Mod.

Re: Problems with Fyron\'s Quadrant mod....
Still having an issue...
I d/l and installed the planet pack of the image mod. I installed it into the Seiv/pictures/planets directory.
Now, when playing I don't get any error Messages, but some of the planets aren't showing up on the main screen. IF I click the planets there is and icon in the planet windown, but not on the main screen.
Ideas?
Thanks,
Ken

Re: Problems with Fyron\'s Quadrant mod....
You probably need to rename the NewPlanets.bmp included in the pack as planets.bmp. You currently aren't using the one included with the image pack.

The readme of the Image Mod explains that.

You know I thought that it did, and I started to say that to java myself. But when I looked I couldn't find it. I know I read it somewhere cause otherwise I wouldn't have known that was the answer. Perhaps it's just been mentioned in Posts before?

Re: Problems with Fyron\'s Quadrant mod....
Actually the readme for the different portions of the image mod do not say to do this. The weapons portion is the only one that says to rename files and it's not really clear.
Perhaps there is a readme for the whole image mod but I didn't see it. I d/l it in pieced from Fyrons site.
But anyway, I got it cleared up.
Lets not use readme's as an excuse not to be helpful.
Thanks again Geo!

Re: Problems with Fyron\'s Quadrant mod....
Readmes in general do serve a purpose, and should be read first.
The readmes of the Combat and Components packs have lines like this in them:
To install this imagemod, copy all the contained files into your ".../SE4/Pictures/components" directory.
Replace "components.bmp" with "Newcomponents.bmp". All of the original SE4 images are contained
in the new BMP, so all other mods and saved games will not be affected.
The facilities and planets packs need to be handled in the same way. It seems as if their readmes do not explicitly state this, and I was not aware of it. I apologize for the confusion. It will be fixed.
My mirror at least is now updated to include these instructions on the download page.
