2402.1 The Swedish Nation - Peaceful harmonic days.

The foreign minister strolled in to Talman Ruatha's office
-"We have now secured all borders Ruatha.
We have beneficial treaties with all neighbours.
All is really great, still I'm bbb, bored beyond belief!
We really need to start exploring outside our borders!
When will I get those recon ships you've been promising me?
We need to act now before we are shut in and isolated!

-I know! We are doing the best we can.
We can't really send out any ships now. They would run out of supplies and never come back. I can't demand of the crews that they venture forth on a one way trip.
You'll have to be patient. We're researching new technology that will allow the ships to draw supplies from the energy generated by the stars they pass by. But it will still be almost a year before we can implement this into any ships.
But before the end of this year we will have started the construction of a new exploration fleet, if nothing unexpected happens.

Everyone is crying for ships, the defense ministry, the colonization department, the trade organization and the community services.
So know this, you are prioritized and you'll get your ships as soon as it's possible!


--I understand. It's just so frustrating to be stuck in this backwater of the galaxy. I want to know what's out there.
I'll try to be more patient though, but I'll hold you to that statement, before the year is up!

Ruatha put his head between his hands as the minister left.
All these problems, and he was supposed to fix em all!
