Hey, aloofi, you may have the same problem as I do. Boy, sometimes I hear the words in my mind, juggle them around, and type at the same time. Sometimes, the two are different.

Kind of an example:

In my military days...I was in an audience of soldiers who were asking a general on the stage some questions. Many of the questions were phrased badly. He had to ask for clarification. Finally, when I was called upon, I prefaced my question with the remark that I would try to phrase my question so he could understand it. I meant it to be that others hadn't done so. He took it that I was insinuating he was stupid. Immediately afterward, I was explaining myself to the company commander. Ugh!

Regardless, you have indicated you may have worded things badly. Anyone who can admit to "slipping" has a quality many don't.

I certainly didn't mean this to be any kind of "Aloofi bashing". (trying to explain myself... ) It's just I thought it might make you see there might have been other things that got your rating lowered.

Just to "clear matter" that computer discussion was not about old computer or getting new computer, but that his computer died horrible death and yes, it was mentioned quite a few times. What I really did not figure out how he was able post so many times with dead computer

I don't know for sure, but I post from my PC at work all the time. So, that's one way.

Also, he might have a friend (certainly, all my children's friends seem to have PCs) who let him use his PC. Another way.

And the library usually has PCs.

It's no big deal really.

Great, A thread that have turned into Aloofi-bashing. I want a piece of that

Aloofi:
When you put that picture of a gun with a smiley beside it in the Iraq thread, you proved once and for all to be an insensitive b...
I asked you to remove it, which you didn't, so it can not be just a slip of mind.

If it still was possible I would have rated you a 1, not because of your opinions, but because of your attitude.

[Sarcasm]
Yes, Aloofi is totally insensitve - everyone here loves peace - it isn't like ANYONE plays a game where the population of entire worlds are routinely killed from space, or plauges are deliberately dropped on civilians, or ...
Oh, wait, nevermind. I seem to be in the wrong forum.

Jack,
It seems like one of us don't understand the meaning of the word sarcasm. So I looked it up for you (dictionary.com):
1: A cutting, often ironic remark intended to wound.
2: A form of wit that is marked by the use of sarcastic language and is intended to make its victim the butt of contempt or ridicule.
3: The use of sarcasm. See Synonyms at "wit"

It really worries me when some people can't see the difference between life and death of real people (as discussed in the Iraq thread), and the shifting of some bits in the computer memory.

I don't believe Aloofi ever once said he did anything - all he did was post a picure - just "the shifting of some bits in the computer memory" as you put it. Sure, people's deaths were under discussion, but Aloofi wasn't referring to them at the time; lots of people were posting pictures, some of which depiced people about to be thrown off buildings. Nobody seems to have objected to those. Likewise, nobody objected when the image of an anti-tank weapon was posted, and those do far more damage than a single handgun. Yet you bash Aloofi. Why?
