Interesting question, until you realize that if you destroyed all planets, your Empire would be dead, and unable to do anything

Allright, so in theory (and common sense ) it doesn't work...but has anyone tried it? I'm no modder, and I don't really want to do it "the natural way" - Playing out a whole game, getting the Converters, and waiting 3 years (30 turns) to see what happens

Build a bunch of Ringworlds or Sphereworlds first!
As has been said already, trying to convert a Gas Giant to no atmosphere has no effect.
