Re: OT: Japanese Translation
That is the official web site of Proxomitron (or was, as I do not know what the site is trying to tell me ).

Like a wise man once said, you just have to stick the fish in your ear.
Babel fish link
The translation is poor I'll grant you, but I get the jist of it -- it appears the site is down temporarily only, not lost for good.

Re: OT: Japanese Translation
I know I can get a machine-generated translation, but that is not what I wanted. I want a real translation.

Then pay for it.
Edit:
Babelfish tells me that the phrase says "It went away".
After looking around several Japanese-English Online dictionaries, and after I tried my best to comprehend it, I believe it says something along the lines of "On Hiatus; Thank you for your understanding.".

Re: OT: Japanese Translation
The Japanese characters say "kiema****a" which translates to "Disappeared".

Re: OT: Japanese Translation
I speak and read some Japanese, 2 years a university level, 25 years ago, damn I'm getting old, and lived and worked in Japan for about 4 years. I still am hopeless at it. So much for my lame credentials. Anyway:
I think the best current translation of that would be "vanished" past tense. Or, perhaps, more lightly, "Poofed" as in suddenly disappeared, like magic.
