Re: Big Fat Bug
Just spotted the Armour III problem myself, but, have not had a look yet to see if we (the people) can mod it out. Have been reviewing the data files, most of which do not seem to have any received any significant alterations (ie new fields), but, there have been a few nice additions though - default number of ships, units etc)...

Re: Big Fat Bug
Well, the only way to skip this is to make Armor tech available at the very start of the game and make all AI's research level III first. It is quite a lot of work, but it can be done. I will do that if the fix doesn't come out very soon.
Btw. I have sent a mail with save game 5 minutes ago, so hopefully we won't have to wait for too long for the fix.

Not good. Hope MM gets a kwik fix out. It will screw me totally for sure. I only play the computer.
Glad now I haven't had time to install the patch.

Re: Big Fat Bug
Well, I guess if you add some other techs in like projectile weapons for the AI to research while going to lvl 3 Armor you can have it design some decent weapon platforms.
Hmm... now I have an excuse for adding projectile weapons 3, smaller weapons 3 and explosive warheads 3 to the head of the list... Wow, this cloud does have a silver lining.
(I hate running into fighters w/nothing but a wimpy Small DUC I. Foo.)

Re: Big Fat Bug
What if you use the builtin options at the start of the game to turn armor technology off. Does this alleviate the problem?

Re: Big Fat Bug
You should be able to mod it out. I always thought that you could have ai use anything to fill up space? I haven't downloaded the patch yet, but I guess I'll do it now and try to fix this problem.
