Help For Newbie on Mod 1.60
I installed the new 1.60 mod patch, but I can't seem to access any of the new empires when I try to add existing empire to a new game.
The patch set up a modpatch directory at MM\SEIV\SEIV\Modpack. The path.txt file says Using Mod Directory :=None. I tried moving that file out and moving in one that says Using Mod Directory := Modpack, but no luck.
I am sure I am missing a key step, but I can't figure it out. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Help For Newbie on Mod 1.60
The path MM\SEIV\SEIV\Modpack is not correct. You should move the entire folder 'Modpack' and everything under it to first SEIV (should be MM\SEIV\Modpack).
Under MM\SEIV\SEIV path (before Modpack) you will fine one path.txt file. Move it to MM\SEIV and overwrite the old one (the one that says none). That should do it. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Help For Newbie on Mod 1.60
Just higlight all the files, click on copy and paste them in the correct folder location. This is a simple PC task, not a programming issue.

Re: Help For Newbie on Mod 1.60
if you have the game installed on the c: drive, your path to the game will be something like:
c rogram files\shrapnel games\MM\SEIV
goto this directory and make sure there is a modpack directory, if not, create one.
unzip the mod pack there, making sure all the files end up in modpack
next go to the open path.txt with notepad
find the following line:
Using Mod Directory :=None
change none to your path, if you have it like above it would be "c:\program files\shrapnel games\MM\SEIV\modpack"
save the path file and you should be done.
woops ignore the smiley face, LOL, it should say c:\program files\shrapnel games\MM\SEIV
also note that the above line is not exact, you will have to figure out your own path.

Re: Help For Newbie on Mod 1.60
what he is saying (I think): is instead of MODPACK folder being in a 2d SEIV folder (like a subdirectory in the SEIV folder (original), it should be in the first. I would right click on that MODPACK folder, copy, then move it to the 1st SEIV folder and paste the MODPACK folder there. do same with the path.txt file that came with the mod.
If you have custom race set/race style in the "old" pictures/race folder then copy paste their folder(s) to the MODPACK folder; do the same with any of the .emp files associated (if any) with said races. If you have any designname files you made, copy paste them from the "old" folder into the respective MODPACK folder.
Hope this helps folks. Lots of copy pasting for Da Path
and BIG BTW..mebbe back-up your custom stuff before doing this in case ya makes a boo-boo . helps me alot (I make some real stinky boo-boo's)

Re: Help For Newbie on Mod 1.60
Ok, Mephisto has posted a 'new Version' of Modpack so all you guys that have trouble with it can download it again. Actually it is the same Version but it fixes the problem with installation.
Pathfinder - boo-boo's. LMAO, you are killing me man.
