Well, I have taken a look and they look great.
I am not working on any new race so I am not using them personally, but I would encourage everybody who wants to make a Star Trek shipset to give them a try.
I am using your first UFP shipset quite a lot (actually, all the time
). If you still have problems with background for mini-pictures (they are most noticable in nebulas) and have Photoshop, tell me. I will be more then happy to tell you how to handle it VERY easily.
