I thought it was entertaining. I also felt it got better as things went along. It was not Indiana Jones action, but then again it is the first season. B5 was also somewhat slow in most of the beginning.
There are some really stupid episodes though. (The comic book hero comes to mind) and some technical things I would fault. Like how can you keep getting gas after 20+ years. Doesn't it go bad, or evaporate if stored in open topped containers? Same with canned food.
Once you accept that all the adults died and the kids had to grow up by themselves, 20 years pass. The show starts. It is new and unexplored territory.

Re: OT: Jeremiah
Canned food can Last many, many decades, as long as it is sealed properly, which most canned food is.

Re: OT: Jeremiah
Interesting relevant information:
"Canned food has a shelf life of at least two years from the date of processing. Canned food retains its safety and nutritional value well beyond two years, but it may have some variation in quality, such as a change of color and texture. Canning is a high-heat process that renders the food commercially sterile. Food safety is not an issue in products kept on the shelf or in the pantry for long periods of time. In fact, canned food has an almost indefinite shelf life at moderate temperatures (75° F and below). Canned food as old as 100 years has been found in sunken ships and it is still microbiologically safe! We don't recommend keeping canned food for 100 years, but if the can is intact, not dented or bulging, it is edible."

Re: OT: Jeremiah
The show sounds interesting but the cost of buying 18 episodes is to expensive. ($65.00)
Nhaw, I will wait until I can see it on the Sci-Fi channel.
Thanks for all the Posts though.
Side note: Could you imagine eating a 100 year old can of chili? Talk about gasssssssss

Re: OT: Jeremiah
Ok I have watched the first 9 episodes of this series and I have to say that if you suspend your logical beliefs and just enjoy the story for what it is it is a great journey.
