File size: 1.61 GB (1,737,194,778 bytes)
Size on disk: 933 MB (979,286,093 bytes)

Behold the wonders of drive compression on bitmaps and text files!

Oh yeah... that was SE4 Gold, now here's SE4 Classic, which I keep around for that P&N on PBW game which has been going on about the past 3 years or so

File size: 159 MB (166,731,438 bytes)
Size on disk: 80.4 MB (84,365,000 bytes)

Wow, I didn't even know an SE4 install could be that small... guess it must have to do with the fact that the Last time my computer crashed I had to reinstall SE4 and I just installed the basics - the stock game, the 1.49 patch, and the mod and shipsets from that one game!

Its your own fault. Shamelessly saying how much SE4 stuff you have. The ensuing one-upmanship can squarely be blamed on you.

It has come back to haunt us!

I was just trying to tell AT how 2.4 GB is nothing for one game...

Hmm... my SE4 folder has not aged very well at all. Put on a lot of weight in the Last 2 years! I hope it doesn't have a heart attack or something...

Make sure you back all that up. Especially if you're working on a Star Trek mod, they seem cursed (for those who don't check that forum, the ST mod for Starfury just had a total wipeout too)

The only reason that my SEIV folder is so huge is because i have most the Non-NeoStandard shipsets installed in the main directory and then i have all the neostandard ones installed with certain variations to use in different mods with different shipsizes. Some Neostandard sets are installed 6 times on my pc with certain tweaks depending on what race i want to play .

Then i have Play By Committe and all 84 turn files stored on my pc, mods, designname files, hundreds of empire files for every mod, savegames....ouch i'm beginning to see where this habit is going
