That still doesn't really compute. Troops and WPs would never be "in space" and I've often had way more than 100 mines deployed at wormholes at any given moment. I don't remember if I've had that many fighters on the strategic map but I'm sure I must have had that many satellites deployed.

I suspect it refers to # of Groups, not # of individual units.

Perhaps this is the source of the all die if one dies bug when no shields are included.

It counts all as a single unit and so one dies... and all die.
