My Pretender was very powerful and full of Earth 8/construction artifacts, he was a killing machine...Earth 5 Death 9. How did i lose my dominion so quickly?, that is what i'm curious about  Thanks for any help!

~Aldin Yes, a few provinces on the outskirts were shrinking but the middle ones were fine It might have been one turn or two, i'm not sure, but i was outside my dominion for two turns max...still very alive!

No. You don't need to have your God or prophet inside your dominion. You just need to have some dominion influence somewhere on the map.
Your case is unusual as it's not easy to kill the dominion of a player (especially human) unless he's down to a few provinces.

Well one thing for certain your pretender and prophet being killed outside your domain did not cause you to lose the game. I've had opponents still alive for several turns where they only controlled one province with zero commanders, prophets and pretenders.
Maybe the game had some type of victory conditions ?!??
