Well undead work by different rules in every game and film that has them. Clearly in Dominions, they still do use their eyes.

I'm very glad my units don't get arbitrarily destroyed at 4 afflictions. In my opinion, that would be really lame (so to speak ).

I think not being able to dismiss units is somewhat amusing and doesn't need to be changed, although I suppose ideally I'd like to see them dismissable. However if so, I would have the game keep track of them, and re-use them sometimes later in play, having some of them show up in random independent armies, independent random events, mercenary bands, some might decide to volunteer for an enemy, etc. You might also have the option to have someone try to kill them rather than dismiss them, but that would require a combat, and they might escape anyway.
