Post order in threads

Well I agree that changing the format at the cost of loosing the info here is not a option. I just dont have super memory installed in my head and actually like to review the older Posts previous to the ones im going to read at the end. Guess I will head on over and take the poll.

It is funny, I am so used to the Shrapnel Boards that I find most other systems backwards and confusing. May I suggest coming over to the Light Side of the Force and avoiding the other Boards? Yoda wants you to…

Seriously, it is like which side of the road to drive the car on. Both work just fine, but you have to get used to it. A moment or two of disorientation when you change over, then it comes back nicely.

The "disorientation" never fades. In English, you read text from top to bottom. So you scroll down to where the Last post you read is, read that post from the top down, then scroll up to the next post, read that one top-down, scroll up again, repeated over and over. It's simply unnatural. The idea of having the most recent post on top is only useful if a thread has so little activity that there's a good chance that the post at the top is the next one for you to read (ie: follows the Last one you read). In practice this is hardly ever true.

Another "bright idea" by an engineer (programmers are engineers) completely out of touch with real-world Users.
