You may also check out Pop sci or Pop mech.
They have run some intresting articals on "future wepons". Also check out stuff like the history chanels web site they have a show that runs about the history of the gun. Try to contact a gun maker or the NRA P.R. people They would love it if you you portray one of their guns in a "positve way"
