Re: Melnibonee Mod - Suggestions needed
Hm, 50 enc will put a pretty big crimp on battlefield casting, too. Ouch.

Well, I wasn't really serious when I suggested that anyway.

Re: Melnibonee Mod - Suggestions needed
If I remember Stormbringer's abilities correctly, it tended to supercharge Elrick over time as he got more kills in a battle. So is there a way to mod his stats after every kill? Like a cumulative consecutive bonus sort of thing? And of course every kill wipes out his fatigue (kill = reset fatigue to "0").
Also he has a fear effect because the sword sings once it is drawn inspiring fear in it's victims.... fear +5
There is probably some more to come up with as the stories come back to me....
**ADDITION**
Oh and then there's the arctorius stone. The ring of magic passed down in his family line. Maybe have that boost his magical power by 2 in each school of magic and be cursed so it cannot be removed? Just a thought. It also helped him a little bit in terms of stamina before he got the sword.

Well, but as said before, I dont want to make him to powerful in the magical arena.

I'm with Slygar. 50 encumberance is a little silly. A crappy encumberance rating is generally around 5, naked. Maybe give him a chest wound, too. That'll give him a rather awful 10. 50 would mean he passes out in two swings. Nobody's THAT bad.
|
I actually thought about 20 Encumberance. If I remember the book correctly, Elric seldom uses magic in battle. Its mostly one big summon and then he starts the melee.

As long as his sword hits, he should be fine. Just give the damn thing a +12 attack rating or what you like.

That sword definitly needs to be uber. It should have some 30+ live draining damage, but then again, things look as if this would make him definitly unbalanced.

Add in the Beasts of Matik. Kind of huge lions with falcon head and wings if I remember correctly.

Re: Melnibonee Mod - Suggestions needed
You could always make it a mixed army. That is, a mix of melnibonean and other units. That would make a large variety of units available.
I could see Elric being a pretender, though it's pretty much the opposite of what he wanted msot of the time. Otoh, Stormbringer was a trapped God, maybe Stormbringer is the actual pretender, that could make some fun dscription text !
My user name actually comes from the Kelmain Host, btw

Re: Melnibonee Mod - Suggestions needed
This is a nice idea for a new pretender.
I would actually make him immortal, cause even if the wearer dies, somebody else will take up the sword to serve his purposes.
