I am not a native speaker of English, and I am
probably wrong about this, but I thought that
'insist' is justified, given how strongly some
people feel about it. But you are right, my
dislike for the position may have tainted my
formulation. Hell, if anyone claims that I'm a
saint, I will be the first to laugh.
