<is sad Stars! SuperNova is dead>

Most 4X space games - SEIV included do an decent to AWESOME job of handling part of what would be involved in an empire. For example SEIV handles Space combat, resource Admin, and General Admin (Intel and Research) but ignores or only pays lip service to other aspects - (ground combat for example). I would like to see a game that comes in modules that allows you to play at each level. Each module would be a standalone game, but they would all intergate into one large game that you could play your self or over a LAN with friends and assign jobs.

So you would SEIV as the main module and empire running.. but you would have SE Ground Conquest for planetary invasions, You could then have SE Trader for logistics and trade routes (and control intel here). It would be a massive but incredibly fun game.....

PS - just used all the SE names as reference and examples.

Anyone ever see Outlaw Star? You know that space race they had?

....

Nuff said

Well not 'nuff said, although it would be cool I don't htink you could do it to scale, or you'd have to do something like Independance war 2 with the Linear Displacement System and Capsule Drive. It would have to be mainly about tweaking your ship because the race, unless it regularly went through stellar phenomenon would consist of going in a straight line for several minutes.... unless you are alowed to combat with your rivals.....

EDIT: Actually I guess you could do something like those "fly through the ring" races that are in every flight sim for training purposes, or a beacon checkpoint system...
