Thanks Alpha, any advice/suggestions you have would be quite welcome! The Rage has been a long time favorite to test against! (and play against!)

Rollo, havn't tried your AI out yet, but I think I just might

....was thinking of resurrecting the old 'AI tournament' that someone (don't remember who) had Last year. Put 20 AI's in a system and see what happens after a few hundred turns....(Already know a definite 10 I will include....)
