Why kill the mod? Why not just remove or modify some of the areas that refer to the mod as Starfire?

I agree with Kwok on this one... Just rename it Star Empires. But I guess it might be too late for that, and I don't have a copy of the mod. It's a shame to see all of that work go to waste.

Gee, it's fairly well-known that Space Empires is inspired by Starfire... does this mean that they're going to sue Malfador as well?

Well they can pry my copy of the mod from my dead cold fingers...and I may even make a mod for SEV when it comes out...the mod is for my enjoyment, and I like Starfire...I have Imperial Starfire, and Starfire. Which I assume is 2nd or 3rd version of the series...no one can tell me I can't make something for my enjoyment, if I own a copy of said rules...As long as I don't sell or misrepresent...Well they can try and get blood from a turnip...sorry to see you go to such drastic measures PES...
