vine bow

My vine bow didn't seem to work (i.e. entangle) Turin's Golem as he destroyed my army. The Golem had Luck, Ethereal and Astral Shield cast. I didn't see the Entangle animation. Maybe the Astral Shield hid it, but I doubt it. The Golem seemed to attack every turn. Even with high strength, shouldn't it have been entangled for at least one turn per entanglement?
