Battle Damage

A screenshot before damage and after damage might be useful, but I seem to think you're missing something somehow.

EDIT - but more importantly, did you win the battle?

Yeah, it came to hand to hand but I won. My prophet and a lvl 2 random luck priest were leading the force. They were lighting things up.

The loses was pretty obvious once I got to looking close. The arrows and banishments were generaly killing when they hit. There were just very few wounded long dead. Out of 10 hits 9 would be kills. With all the shifting troops and flashy spells it was hard see what was going on. Red numbers floating up but never any wounded had me wondering, but it is clear now.
