I tried to read the article but it put me to sleep. I'm not interested in SL as a way to make money or participate in a virtual economy. I just want to know if it's fun for the experience and the socializing.

The idea of being able to create my own avatar and walk around here and there sounds fun. But I like to investigate something before I download it.

There's that whole spyware/virus thing...
