Re: Problems with new patch
Well, that is pretty crazy, because I ordered it from you. However the bug disappeared when I compiled Python 2.5 and dependencies.

Re: Problems with new patch
I'm having the same bug, and I also have a CD key direct from Shrapnel.
I have found that if you hit "e" to end your turn and then quit the program it will save your turn progress...Probably not a good idea for SP, but even if you're the last person in on a network game as long as it doesn't try to upload it between hitting 'e' and quitting out of the program you should be able to finish the turn up offline before reconnecting it, so it's a bearable pain in the rear at least.

Re: Problems with new patch
I get the same error and as I said in another post, I bought the game directly from Shrapnel Games too :-(
What is this Python 2.5 thing? I am downloading it right now to check if it fixes something but cant really seem to find some use for it :-/

Do you need a special cd to install the Linux version? My friend is a Linux user; I wonder if he will have the same problem that I had? Unfortunately he is out of town for a few days but when he get back I will try it on his computer, I will report back then with the results.

Re: Problems with new patch
Did you double check your cd key? I'm not sure but maybe dom3 accept all you input and maybe there was a typing error.
Your key is saved in a file named 'key' in the game directory, you can open it with an editor.

Re: Problems with new patch
I can't speak for the others who have the same problem but I have triple checked the serial and had other people read it to see if I was misinterpreting a character, each one of us read it the same way.
Ah well, I have now placed a order through shrapnel, and this time I will keep the receipt My manual was starting to get a little beat up anyway.
BTW, kudos on the size of the manual, nice to finally see a company that makes real manuals, last time I saw something that big was the Baldurs gate and the Fallout manuals.

Re: Problems with new patch
Well, I can't really say the bug is gone forever after the Python 2.5 update, but it sure hasn't showed its ugly face again; and I've been playing a lot (I mean "a lot", in capital).
About the CD-key. I double checked it, tripled checked it and so on, all the time using the configuration file. So no, I have not typed it in wrong. In fact I have never changed. So that is that. Believe it or not.
