Oh, okay, I see:
floor(floor( 10 * .75 ) * .8) = 5.
That works too, and makes more sense given the forge costs when FotA is up. Works for a 5-gem item too:
floor(floor( 5 * .75 ) * .8) = 2. That's the cost at the 80% site of a Bane Blade, wielding a 75% hammer.
