Your Trek designs are awesome and greatly appreciated by more than you may think. Unfortunately, the general populace are not always eager to give credit where credit is due. Having no knowledge in 3D design, I cannot fully understand the complexity involved in ship design, but I guarantee that I appreciate the work of others tremendously.

PS. I am so looking forward to the Vulcans. After finding a partial shipset somewhere, I spent nearly 3 hours scouring thw web for more ship pictures thinking I could put one together myself. But alas, I am not that talented.

As a long-time SFC player I can tell you how : just use Printscreen in SFC, paste in some paintstuff software, extract what you want, resize, and voilà ! You'll have SE4-usable icons ...

excellent, thank you for that, now all I have to do is to get SFC-Empires at War to work correctly (something about my directX mod) and I shall be a happy camper indeed.

You could do the print screen thing, or you could go here
http://www.blackopsstation.com/2002/main/0224/index.htm
and get the M6 model editor v2. If you do this, the amount of masking that needs to be done is almost nothing since the background is already totally black. You can position the ship any way you want to get the best looking angles too!

I’d also suggest using ACDsee to do the scaling, and if needed, adjust the brightness.

I’ve found I can do about 20 ships per hour that way.
