Mine your warp points, and add satellites.

To protect your planet, mines, sates, weaponPF, and troops.

Pray the bad guys don't come knocking before your well defended. Oh ya, defensive base work too, but take a while to build and eat up resources. Stick to the wp, mines, and satellites.
