Re: Definitive list of Foreign Mags and sites
Italy
1)Italian magazines: "The Game Machine" and, to a lesser extent, "Giochi per il mio computer", are commonly available. PC Gamer and Computer Gaming World in English are also available in specialized stores.
2)I don't remind exactly if I found news about SE4 demo before the game was released at www.avault.com or www.gonegold.com
Regards.

Re: Definitive list of Foreign Mags and sites
I'm from Finland and the best game magazine around here is Pelit ( www.pelit.fi).
I was a SE3 fan and found out about SE4 while searching for mods.

Re: Definitive list of Foreign Mags and sites
We have a huge variety of games magazines here, but I think the focus tends to be on big name RTS and FPS and crap like that. I don't really read them, to be honest. I'm sure you could find one that would feature SE4 though. Perhaps get the demo onto a coverdisk?
Anyway, I was searching for freeware 4X games (although I didn't know the term "4X" in those days) and came across SEIII. I got hooked, and for some reason I wanted to go to Malfador's website (probably to register for the full Version) I remember the Malfador URL in the documentation was no longer valid, so I put in a few web searches and eventually found my way to malfador.com via some of the fan sites. That was a few months before SE4 came out.
My original search (the one that found SEIII) was probably something like "freeware games conquest empire". If it isn't out there already, I would suggest putting the SEIV demo on as many freeware sites as possible.

Re: Definitive list of Foreign Mags and sites
Well we always do that, but I need to check which sites have the Gold out there.
Well I will probably move this off of here soon, I will probably do some web searches to find the magazines for each country.
