Default Re: Modding Question: Adding pretenders to a nations list

You need to edit the pretender and add "#restrictedgod 95" or whatever nation you want to restrict the god to. There are lists of unit numbers in several places on the forums or you can select units in game by holding Shift and I dominions then then displays some information including their unit numbers.

This is what editing the Freak Lord would look like.

#selectmonster 246
#restrictedgod 95
#end

Answers to small questions like this can also be found in the modding.pdf in the docs folder of Dominions 3.

Default Re: Modding Question: Adding pretenders to a nations list

Yep I tried this method. However, I'm creating a new nation and if you add that line, it removed the pretender from some other nations list. I'm making an altered version of man and was trying to add their pretenders onto the new nation. As I did it they were removed from those available to the normal version on Man. Any way around this problem short of creating new units with copied stats of the old units?

Edit: actually just did this and it wasn't to hard. Problem solved.
