Magic Site placement
So a province can have a maximum of 4 sites.
Is the site type totally random (not considering requirements for sites) or is there something like an "only one gorgeous site per province" implemented?
Can I theoretically have for example a province with Const 20%, Ench 20% Alt 20% and Conj 20% all at once?
Or a province with Tower of the Golden Order, Tower of the Iron Order, Tower of the Silver Order and The Underworld?
Currently I have a province with Tower of the Golden Order, The Doom Cloud, Singing Stones and a Great Silver Mine and wondered how much better it could get. (Income for that province: 2F 3S 3A 2D 1E 60gp and Adepts of the Golden Order as recruits)
Has anybody for example ever had a province with the maximum of 20 Gems income?

As far as I know, yes. It's unlikely, however. Moreover, the second province isn't even that wonderful, as having all of those split up would probably serve you better. Having to pick between a mage of each order instead of getting a mage from each one of the orders is less than ideal.

Re: Magic Site placement
Yes, it can get better than that. Some of the stuff I've seen:
- Library of Time, Monolith, Sun Ridge, The Maze (7S, 2F, 1E + cheap as all get out S3 mages). That was in one of the very few multiplayer games I've taken part of, too.
- The Sun Below, Sea of the Tears of Men, Prison of the Desert Sun and Sun Ridge in the same province.
- Banefire Braziers, Litter Skull, Banefire Forge and a fourth site. That also in MP and random sites, not scripted. Playing a death nation. This was in Dom2 on the Faerun map, and I got crushed by Atlantis, but some of the provinces I did get were absolutely outrageous.
A couple of other combos I've seen on random that were pretty damned insane. You don't hit them all that often, but play enough games and they pop up from time to time.

Cheap Astral 3 mages with some solid side abilities as well.

A province with Const 20%, Ench 20% Alt 20% and Conj 20%, where can I find out exactly what the bonus means for these sites?

Re: Magic Site placement
The bonus is a discount to gem costs for spells cast (and items made, for construction) in those schools. More specifically, it is percentage off, where everything rounds down - so, a 6 gem spell costs 4 gems, for example.

Re: Magic Site placement
I once found a province with an Alt 20%, a conj 20% and Chillsick swamp in it. Fun.
Also, to ad up on what Knai said. Unlike hammers, discount sites seem to round up the cost. So a 6 gem spell cast at a 30% bonus site would cost 5 gems. If it had worked like with a hammer it would have rounded down and costed 4 gems.

Re: Magic Site placement
I was wondering is there only 1 20% const province per map? If there are two and you get two steel ovens for example in the same province would it net to 40% less forging costs? Or even better in vanilla. 2 alt sites for + 70-80%(net) that'd be insane. wish for 30-20 gems

Re: Magic Site placement
you can have more than one 20% site in a map, they are not unique, but they do not stack if you get multiple in a province, only the highest bonus is used.
